Ohio Boating - Lake Erie and the Inland Lakes

Ohio's boating is anchored by Lake Erie on its northern border, one of the Great Lakes and the shallowest of the five. That shallowness means Erie warms up faster than the other lakes, supports an extraordinary walleye fishery, and also means it can become dangerous quickly in wind. Erie builds waves faster than most Great Lakes boaters expect for a lake its size, and its reputation for sudden severe weather is well-earned.
