Overview

Virgin Island National Park Overnight Moorings are located on the north and south shore surrounding the island of St. John.

Overnight moorings are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the mooring to purchase and claim a spot. Once on-site, you can pay for your mooring by scanning a QR code using the <a href="https:

Recreation

Moorings are available for day use and overnight use. Boaters have the opportunity to visit nearby bays that offer various recreation opportunities to include Honeymoon, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay. Bays offer concessions and snorkle rentals to explorer the surrounding waters.

Facilities

The mooring system is a self pay honor system. Boaters must pay the mooring fee at one of the floating pay stations. boaters are provided payment instructions and marine brochure at the location. Download the Recreation,gov mobile app prior to arriving.

Natural Features

Virgin Islands National park moorings are located on the north and south shore bays surrounded by beautiful clear blue waters. The use of moorings assist in protecting marine life that lives on the ocean seabed. Moorings are safe and convenient to use while in the bay.

Concessions for food and drinks are available at Honeymoon, Trunk bay, and Cinnamon Bay. Nearby attractions include daily rental of snorkel gears, and paddle boards at theses locations.
